CWS Admix crystalline waterproofing was chosen to protect this building in Finland which is located in a coastal area and constantly subjected to the possibility of chloride ingress.

This 5 storey residential project of 57 apartments was built in a seaside area of Finland where salinity is abundant both in the ground and the air.

High water levels mean that if some form of basement waterproofing is not used there is a strong likelihood of chloride ingress ultimately causing corrosion of the steel, expansion of the concrete and total concrete degradation.

CWS Admix is the perfect waterproofing admixture for belowground structures.   It has testing to 14 bars of hydrostatic pressure which is significantly more than Virtually any other crystalline product in the world.  In Europe the common standard is for testing to 5 bars of pressure for 72 hours under EN 12390 – 8.   CWS Admix has also been tested to this standard on several occasions but with proof that it can withstand pressure of 14 bars (equivalent to a 40 story building),  testing to 5 bars of pressure is a breeze!
