Intense rainfall in wet season means lots of ponding water which will often cause membranes to fail as they are not designed for ponding water.
Intense heat followed by bursts of rain means that the building is expanding and contracting very quickly putting stress on the structure.
With so many islands and coastal air carrying chlorides, the structure is continually under attack and likely to deteriorate quickly without adequate protection.

CWS Admix Integral waterproofing for below ground
CWS Admix is next generation integral. It is a top class crystalline admixture particularly suitable for use on below ground structures as well as water tanks. Thus it is perfect to waterproof basements.
Based on nearly 45 years of proven crystalline technology, CWS Admix greatly improves on the initial concept of crystalline growth and both waterproofs and protects the structure, greatly increasing it’s service life.
CWS Admix Dosing
CWS Admix may be added at the batching plant or added to the mixer at the job site. It is preferable that CWS Admix is added to the dry mix to ensure even distribution prior to the addition of water. However in areas like Metro Manila traffic can delay mixing trucks getting to the site so the ability to also add the product at site is very advantageous for this type of product. If CWS Admix is added after the addition of water, it is advisable that the mixing continue for a further 10 minutes prior to placement.
Integral
CWS Admix is crystalline technology which is based on the hydrophilic properties of materials. This means it is reliable, problem-free protection of the structure, as it becomes completely integrated within the material itself.
Benefits
Construction is sped up because it is usually added to the mix at the time of pouring. Hence it saves delays that occur when waiting for curing before application of a membrane.
Because it is normally added at the batch plant it requires no manual on-site labour.
It never needs replacing and remains active in the concrete (beton) for the life of the structure.
Integral such as CWS Admix cannot be punctured, delaminate or rip (the normal problem with membranes). Nor can it be damaged by trades during application.
Will seal current and future cracks up to 0.4 mm. This compares to other forms of integral which have no crack sealing ability whatsoever.
Has testing to prove it resists hydrostatic pressure to 14 bars of pressure equivalent to a 40 story building. This is especially beneficial in areas with high water tables.
Because it is within the structure itself, it is equally effective on the positive and negative side.
Integral waterproofing allows construction right to the edge of the building site without having to allow a perimeter for outside application to the building, thus maximising the building space and the client’s investment.
Cannot be damaged during backfilling operations. Often during backfilling membranes are damaged and will never work effectively but this cannot happen with integral.
CWSAdmix is extremely friendly to the environment. It contains no VOCs (volatile organic chemicals) and is safe with drinking water.
CWS100 for above ground concrete waterproofing
CWS100 is spray-applied to cured concrete. CWS100 is a CSH gel which penetrates into the structure and forms a barrier within the first 15-20mm of the structure itself.
CWS100 seals existing static cracks up to 2.2mm, effectively blocking the ingress of water soluble chlorides, sulphates and other contaminants, that are responsible for corrosion of the steel reinforcement. CWS100 penetrates into the structure and is suitable for use on properly cured structural concrete that has been properly vibrated and compacted with a minimum strength of at least 20MPa.
CWS100 is perfect to waterproof above ground areas such as roof decks and podiums. Whether it be a rooftop carpark, the rooftop of a multi-storey high rise, shopping mall, podium deck or landscaped areas, just a few of the benefits CWS100 offers are:

CWS100 and CWS Admix are also perfect for protecting concrete from chloride ingress that can damage the concrete and reduce its lifespan. The country is very widespread with numerous islands and therefore many wharfs and marine structures. These structures need special protection against the ingress of water and chlorides to prevent them from deteriorating quickly. Our products have been used to protect concrete structures such as wharfs and bridge decks from the ravages of water ingress and chloride that would substantially shorten their lifespan. CWS products can potentially double the service life of such structures.
